Illustratables are children's book with a catch: there are no illustrations. That is what the children can bring! Kids are encouraged to add their own drawings to every page, and to sign their own names as the illustrators of their book.
The books are retellings of fairy tales, fables, and myths, all rewritten by Iris Elsher to be appropriate for children in this era, and often include nuanced morals rather than the same ones rehashed by other children's books.
